THE METABOLISM- BALANCING PROGRAM: OILS
After the main meal of the day have 2 x 1000 mg capsules of evening primrose oil (Nature’s Own is a good brand) and 2 x 1000 mg capsules of marine lipid concentrate (MaxEPA). If you have high cholesterol make that 4 x 1000 mg capsules of marine lipid concentrate. Instead of taking the marine lipid capsules you can take cod liver oil from the bottle—1 dessertspoon per day, at any time of the day, except before the main meal. Have it in juice, on tuna or salmon, over cooked rice, in mashed potato or take it straight with a juice chaser. Blackmore’s deodorised is the most palatable. This is for those who want to take a minimum of tablets/capsules.
Make sure that you have at least 1 teaspoon of some form of raw, cold pressed vegetable oil per day. Olive oil is the best as it’s cholesterol free. Sunflower, safflower, linseed, sesame and apricot kernel oil may be used if you prefer them. Have this oil in addition to the oil you cook with. Either takes it straight off the spoon or in salad dressing. Have it any time of the day except before the main meal, as too much oil blocks mineral absorption.
